The P11827 is a specialized pre-filtered separator designed for the safe handling, collection, and containment of explosive metal dust, such as aluminum, magnesium, titanium, and other combustible powders. It is part of systems designed to manage combustible metal dust hazards (NFPA 484 compliance) by preventing dispersed particles from becoming an explosion hazard.

• Inerting System: The vacuumed metal powder is often directly immersed in a bath of inert liquid (such as mineral oil or water) to neutralize the dust, suppress fines, and prevent ignition.
• Separation and Filtration: The units often include a metal grid filter to trap sparks and a nylon filter to separate the dust from the inert liquid for potential recovery.
• Explosion Protection: The equipment is designed with features like overpressure valves to manage reaction gases and is often designed to work with conductive, grounded components to prevent static discharge.
