The Triplex Inlet allows direct source-capture of incandescent embers. You can customize the unit on-site for a wide range of applications by having additional filters on hand.
The combination of filter stages available, as well as the spark-chamber and TEFC motor, make the JETCLEAN AND GRINDEX range “workhorse” portable dust collectors.
The locking casters allow you to easily wheel the unit around from station to station and then lock it in position. The unit is set up to accept arms or a TRIPLEX inlet with multiple flanges for direct-connection from pickup points to the GRINDEX.
The glowing embers are forced into a spark chamber
The glowing embers are forced through a tortuous-path and into a water pan. A stainless steel water pan then quenches any remaining sparks. First the fume and sparks are forced through a drop-out chamber and then as a final precaution the fume and any remaining embers drop into a water tray.
The filters are FR and are flame-retardant.
All day metal grinding buildup of oils on the steel can make a normal dust collector into a fire hazard for collecting sparks. The Grindex is the only truly safe source-capture method.

Trapping of VOC and Hexavalent Chromium
A bolt-on PLENUM can be added for trapping of VOC or sub-micron harmful dust. It can contain a .3 @ 99.97% eff HEPA, or a 38 lbs. activated carbon cell for VOC.
The configuration of filtration used will be specific to your application. We have aluminized conductive cartridges, as well as NANO web for sticky fume, and polyester spunbond for powders, and FR for welding.

Different Metals Produce Different Fumes | Keeping Odors Out of Work Areas
Different metals produce different fumes because no two metals are the same. Hexavalent chromium is a by-product of working with stainless. For this, you must have HEPA. Other metals and materials can off-gas nasty VOC. Having a Carbon Cell, you can pull out of the stock room and install it in a few minutes, keeping nasty odors out of offices and work areas. Once those odors enter the HVAC System, they become embedded in everything. Capturing at the source with HEPA or Carbon avoids all of this.
Having a uniquely designed filter chamber that allows you to adapt on the fly is a unique characteristic of the Grindex and Jetclean.
The DF2 comes with a pair of FR Cartridge Filters that are rated for .5 microns @ 99.97% efficiency. We also have optional H13 HEPA, Carbon, or a combination. The HEPA and Carbon can be swapped out in minutes when you have fumes from cutting rubber, or hexavalent chromium fumes as a by-product of welding and grinding stainless steel.
